A Tribute to Professor Wainberg

It is with great sadness that the European AIDS Clinical Society learned the tragic death of Prof Mark Wainberg. He died at the age of 71 on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Florida.

Prof Wainberg was a respected and recognized HIV/AIDS researcher specialised in HIV drug resistance. He will undeniably be remembered for his contributions and leadership in the field of HIV not only as a scientist but also as an advocate for human rights.

The HIV community has lost a colleague and dear friend. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family.
