Message from the President
Dear Members,
Hopefully, you had a good start into the New Year 2016. On behalf of the EACS, I wish you a successful, active and peaceful year.
After a highly stimulating and successful EACS Conference in Barcelona, with excellent scientific and educational presentations and interactions, as well as the issuing of the new version of the Guidelines, we look forward to a very active year. Several parts of our training and educational programme were either revised or are newly built up. To enable participation in both clinical and scientific training, the two parts of the EACS Summer Courses in Aix-en-Provence are now offered in one week with the possibility to build a more clinical or scientific programme. The 2nd Standard of Care for HIV and Coinfections in Europe meeting will take place in Brussels on November 16-17 to define common indicators of standard of care. Also, the first EACS Young Investigators Conference organised by our society will be held at the end of this year.
As announced and implemented at last year's Conference, the Guidelines are now freely available as an app on App Store and Google Play.
Many younger members joined either the faculty of the different training and educational activities or panels of working groups. If you are not yet involved in any of the working groups and would like more information, please feel free to approach us either through our secretariat (contact Ms. Joëlle Verluyten at info(at)eacsociety.org) or the working group coordinators directly, as listed on our webpage.
Thank you all again for your contribution. I look forward to an interactive year.
Prof Manuel Battegay
EACS President
