5th International HIV/Viral Hepatitis Co-infection Meeting

HCV elimination in Latin America and globally: How close are we?

20-21 July 2019 | Mexico City, Mexico

The 5th International HIV/Viral Hepatitis Co-Infection Meeting took place prior to the 10th IAS Conference on HIV Science (IAS 2019 – http://ias2019.org) in Mexico City, Mexico. Similarly to earlier editions, the meeting provided a unique opportunity to bring together a diversity of scientific, technical and community interests to discuss current opportunities and challenges for increased prevention, diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis in people living with HIV and other populations, discussing implementation challenges to achieving elimination of hepatitis B and C in Latin America and worldwide. The meeting was co-chaired by Giten Khwairakpam (TREAT Asia, Bangkok, Thailand), Natalia Laufer (INBIRS Institute UBA-CONICET, Buenos Aires, Argentina), and Luis Soto Ramirez (IAS Governing Council and Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutricion Salvador Zubiran, Mexico City, Mexico), and guided by an international scientific committee.
